Every once in a while, somebody comes along who inspires people to do good and make a change in the world around them. Yesterday, Gary Vaynerchuk (creator of Wine Library TV) called upon all his followers to take some time out of their daily routines to thank everyone that has supported them or meant something to them. It is tough not to be inspired by Gary, and I feel that it is a great message. If only everyone could share his amazing outlook on life, family and friends!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me through good and bad times and who has stuck by me on good days and bad ones. Friends and family truly are the most important people in the world and it would be nearly impossible to get along without them. Thanks to professors and mentors who have guided me to this point in my life and created so many great opportunities. And to all of you that I have never, and may never, meet that are reading and supporting this very blog … I appreciate each and every one of you. Without you, I would just be keeping a diary instead of having great conversation with many intelligent and insightful people.
I hope that Good People Day is not just limited to today. If everyone took just a few minutes out of every day to thank the people that mean the most to them, the world would be such an incredible place. So good luck, thank you all, and don’t forget that a simple kind gesture can make someone’s day.
